General Guidelines for Parents/Guardians

School believes in discipline and firmness, slackness, disobedience and disregard to rules will not be tolerated and any work or action likely to lower image of the school is disregard as a breach of the school discipline. The school reserves the right to expel any student whose diligence or progress in studies in considered unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.Contempt of authority and breaking school rules are always sufficient reasons for immediate expulsion or rustications from the school.

What we expected from G.B.S. Students

1.      The should take good care of their health andkeep robust and strong physique.

2.      They should always be friendly with others inthe school as well as outside.

3.      They should avoid vulgarity in their talk andbehaviour.

4.      They should accept whatever work is assigned tothem as their rightful share. They should bravely fare the difficulties whichcome to them.

5.      They should be ready to lend a helping hand athome to their parents, brothers and sisters and in school to teachers companionsand any unattended visitor they happen to meet in the school premises.

6.      They should never cheat or be unfair in games,sports and studies.

7.      They should welcome by standing at attentionwhenever any teacher or visitor comes to talk to them.

8.      They should be truthful in all circumstances.

9.      They should never lose temper, they must believethat cruelty is the trait of a bully while kindness is the mark of a gentleman.

10.  They should maintain the beauty of classroom andof the school premises. They should report immediately if they observe or cometo know of any damage.

11.  While coming to school or going from school tohome they should maintain proper discipline.

12.  They should respect the liberty and right ofothers.

13.  Instead of lamenting and grumbling over the evilsof the world they should try to contribute their share in making it a betterplace to live in.

14.  They should look upon people from all parts ofthe world as their brothers irrespective of their colour, caste, creed andreligion.

15.  They should be hard working and never wastertheir time in idle gossip.

16.  They should take pride in wearing proper schooluniform.

17.  Parents are requested not to enter class roomsto see their children or teachers during school hours without permission fromPrincipal.

18.  They must inform the school authorities if thereis any change in there address or telephone numbers.

19.  Leave for half day must not be asked for thesafety of the student except in medical cases. Written request from parents orguardian shuld be sent to the Principal for half day leave and writtenpermissions from Principal should be taken and the class teacher should beinformed accordingly.

20.  Children when sick should not be sent toschool to attend class/tests

21.  Parent’s attention is drawn to the fact thatcriticism of the teachers’ or school in presence of a child should bescrupulously avoided because it causes the students to loose respect for theirteachers with the consequent failure to learn from them and it further hamperstheir progress.

22.  Visiting hours to meet Principal is 11.00 am to12.30 p.m. on working days

23.  Any communication made by the parents/guardiansshould be addressed to the Principal only.

24.  Parents are requested to cooperate with theschool in its attempt to help their children’s progress by paying attention totheir regularity, punctuality and discipline.

25.  They should check their diary everyday, note thehome work and instructions given there in. In case of junior children parentsare advised to check the bags of their wards to see if anynotice/invitation/circulars etc. has been issued.

26.  Parents must encourage their wards toparticipate in co and extra curricular activities and inter house competitionsof the school. Students may be required to take part actively in all theactivities. The participation is compulsory whenever required from the schoolauthority.

27.  To develop fluency in English theparents/guardian are requested to encourage the children to converse in Englishat home also.

28.  If any school property is damaged by thestudents the same will have to be compensated together with a fine imposed bythe school.

29.  Parents are requested to sign regular the CCEand Formative Assessment copies of their wards which are normally returned bythe teacher within a fortnight of the Assessment, failing which the copies of thesubsequent assessment may not be evaluated.

30.  Admittance into the school premises is at thesole discretion of the school authorities, who reserve to themselves the rightto refuse admission to anyone without assigning any reason whatsoever.

31.   Exemplarybehaviour is expected in the school campus

General School Rules

1.       Students must reach school by 9.45 am.Students reaching after 10.00 am will not be allowed to attend classes.

2.       They should carry the Almanac to school everyday.

3.       While going to the assembly or the respective classes or to the Computer Lab or science Lab. Class the students should maintain perfect discipline. In classrooms they should keep their books and copy ready before teachers arrive.

4.       Alltest books and exercise copies should be covered with brown paper and should be properly labeled and kept safely.

5.       Specified exercise books, subject wise should be maintained for the CCE and FA. These exercise books must be brought to school on the day of the Assessment and failing which the student will not be allowed to sit for the CCE/FA and lose the marks of the particular evaluation in the final result.

6.       Student should not speak loudly or use uncivilized language. They should not use improper gestures or manners which lower the dignity of school’s image, both within and outside the school premises.

7.       The students should remain inside their classroom after reaching the school andshould not loiter in the corridor or in the playground. Any student found outside the classroom before assembly or while the class is in progress,without due permission shall be liable for disciplinary action.

8.       Students should be clean and always neatly dressed. They should come to school in school uniform only. Students who are not in proper uniform will not be allowed  their classrooms. This rule shall be applicable when they come to school for any purpose other than attending classes or even after school hours.

9.       All non Sikh boy should get their hair cut at regular intervals.

10.     the hair is strictly forbidden.

11.   No shouting or whistling is allowed in and around the school building.

12.   Care must be taken of all school property and no student scratch or spoil the desks or chairs or damage any school property. They must not write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Any damage seen or done even by accident must be reported.

13.   No magazines, books of money or other article is not permitted and in case of any loss of article and money the school is not responsible.

14.   Students are not allowed to use motor cycle or scooters for attending the school.Student coming to school by bicycle should refrain from double or triple riding. Students must not ride bicycles in the school compound. Cycle must be parked and locked properly.

15.   Students who come to school in the care of servants should never leave before the servants arrive and in case of delay, they should report to the school office.

16.   Those who go home alone should take care of themselves and be prompt in returning home.

17.   Students are warned not to buy anything specially eatables from street vendors.

18.   Any student seen in the canteens during class hours will be fined. Monitors are responsible for switching off the lights and fans before leaving the class.

19.   Firing crackers during Diwali or splashing colours/ink during Holi in the school premises is strictly forbidden. Non compliance to these instructions can result in expulsion from the school.

20.   A student is not allowed to continue in the school if he/she fails in any subject(s) [including additional subject] in Class XI.

21.   It is compulsory to have 75% attendance for the students of Class X and XII from the opening of the academic session upto the first day of the month preced in the month in which the Board Examination commences, failing which they may not be
